Inuyasha Inuyasha: Season 2 (Rpkg)

Inuyasha Inuyasha: Season 2 (Rpkg)

Inuyasha Inuyasha: Season 2 (Rpkg)

While some reviewers are saying that they received 5 boxes with one DVD each, I was surprised to receive 5 DVD's in one boxed set. Apparently, you don't exactly know what you're going to get with this package until you receive it. It seems that the "repackage" is simply a lower priced version of the original version. Unlike most DVD boxed sets, this package lacks an insert containing episode names and brief summaries. However, the missing information is easily available on numerous Inuyasha websites, so it is not a serious loss, although it should have been included.

Inuyasha Inuyasha Seasons 1-7 Complete Series

Excellent anime. I was hesitant to buy because I have made the mistake of buying bootleg versions of animes and being extremely disappointed but other buyers need not be concerned here; these are the actual Viz media products, NOT bootlegged versions. Slightly deceptive description though since you will need one last mini season called "The Final Act" to actually finish the series after you are done with seasons 1-7. Viz markets the last season differently so 7 seasons technically is the complete set. Still confused the heck out of me when I watched the last of season 7 and they didn't wrap up the story. That's when I learned about "The Final Act" and the four movies.

Inuyasha Inuyasha The Final Act Set 1

Inuyasha Inuyasha The Final Act Set 1

Inuyasha Inuyasha The Final Act Set 1

Inuyasha Inuyasha The Final Act Set 1

When the popular "feudal fairy tale" InuYasha ended in 2004 after 167 episodes and four theatrical features, it just stopped. Rumiko Takahashi's manga was still running, so the characters thanked the viewers for watching and flew off. The Final Act (2009) picks up where the first series ended, and the filmmakers assume the audience is familiar with the story, which has grown extremely convoluted. Kagome, a modern high school girl, spends most of her time in the Warring States era, working with the half-demon InuYasha to recover the magical shards of the shattered Shikkon Jewel. The evil Naraku has managed to capture almost all the fragments, but he's having problems with his servants: Kogura, Kanna, the evil infant, and Gorymaru escape his control and even try to destroy him. Many of these episodes focus on supernatural weapons: InuYasha makes his sword Tetseiga even more powerful; by learning sorrow and fear, his half-brother Sesshoumaru acquires the Meidou Zangetsuha technique that sends foes directly to the underworld; Sango discovers the true nature of her boomerang-like Hiraikotsu; and Miroku finds the limit of his Wind Tunnel. Perhaps the most significant weapon is the spark of light the dying Kikyou managed to preserve within the defiled Jewel: Could that tiny glimmer be Naraku's undoing? Richard Ian Cox repeats his role as the bad-tempered but ultimately goodhearted InuYasha; however, several of the cast members are new, notably Kira Tozer as Kagome, and arguments will certainly rage on the web over the merits of the new actors vs. the original ones. Director Yasunao Aoki is drawing together the narrative threads that will bring the tale to a conclusion otaku have awaited for almost 10 years. The four Inu-Yasha theatrical features pit the cast of Rumiko Takahashi's "feudal fairy tale" against new foes: The search for the shards of the Shikon Jewel falls by the wayside as Kagome, Inu-Yasha, Shippo, Miroku, and Sango tackle these supernatural enemies. In Affections Touching Across Time (2001), the moth-demon Menomaru seeks to reclaim the powers of his father, who was defeated by Inu-Yasha's father during the attempted Mongol invasion of 1274. The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass (2002) evokes the Japanese legend "The Tale of the Bamboo-Cutter," when Kaguya appears, claiming to be the legendary Moon Princess. Swords of an Honorable Ruler (2003) reveals that Inu-Yasha's father, the Great Dog Demon, possessed not two but three swords: Tetsusaiga, Tenseiga, and Sounga, which are linked to Earth, Heaven, and Hell, respectively. When the Sounga is accidentally freed, its aura raises the soul of Takemaru, the samurai who murdered Inu-Yasha's mother. The villains in Fire on Mystic Island (2004) are the Four War Gods, powerful demons on the island of Houraijima, who preserve and augment their power by sacrificing half-demon children. The later films are darker and more violent, although the directors balance the mayhem against familiar comedic elements, especially Kagome and Inu-Yasha squabbling. The features all reflect larger budgets than the television series, as the filmmakers employ a variety of CG effects: explosions, lightning bolts, insects, monsters, and strangling tree roots. Affections Touching Across Time stands out as the handsomest of the films, with designs that suggest the woodblock prints of Kawase Hasui. A must-have for Inu-Yasha fans. First of all for those writing negative reviwes shame on you!! This is a review on the ENTIRE season not on a few episodes you watched!! You cant get a good perspective that way....please readers...pay those bias remarks no mind and take head of a real review like the one in the spotlight and my own.

This season is awesome!! At first i was unsure of Inu Yasha having only seen a few episodes and not sure what it was about but then having gotten more experiance with it and seeing more episodes i fell in love and got this boxset of the first season. It is a wonderful series filled with what all amimes should have...action, comedy, romance, and great edge of your seat battels!! No one battels as fine as inu yasha and no characters are more deep than what you find in this series. Each character posses a flaw that contributes to the series and their character making it a fantastic anime.

If you are a fan of the works of Rumiko Takehashi then you are sure to fall in love. Inu Yasha i s a series you cannot go wrong with! I have watched A LOT of anime and Inu Yasha is definatly a favorite of mine.

What is alos great about this set that it comes in the original japanese with the english subtitles which are very accurate in their translation. VIZ is def. a well renowed translator and ditributor of goood anime. You can def. trust thier translations. If you dont like japanese then you can watch it in good ol' english and laugh away as Inu Yasha tries to clobber shippo or tries to understand Kagome. There are no too many special features but you can watch the beginning and ending with out the text which is pretty cool and you get a cast and relationship chart.

This season is great!! Do not listen to those bias twits!

Inuyasha Season 5 Repackage
I absolutely love the InuYasha series. This season is filled with action and the long encounter with the Band of Seven. Naraku continues his scheming and dealing with others whom he promises can have a shard of the Shikon jewel. Kikyo appears in this season and her story had an unexpected twist at Mount Hakurei. InuYasha and company get so much closer to Naraku but the powerful demon never makes it easy to catch him.

And now for the drawback . . . . I've purchased other seasons from Amazon and they were the box sets as pictured. When I received Season 5 in the mail, it was in simple DVD packaging; the discs were a generic purple, not decorated like the other seasons' discs. There was no listing of the episodes anywhere: not on the discs nor the case. I really should have sent it back right away and ordered it again, hoping to get the actual box set, but I couldn't wait to see the story unfold.

Nevertheless, if you like action, drama, and comedy, this is a perfect season to enjoy! Some of the new characters you'll love to hate and some of the original characters you may even hate to love. Mount Hakurei is definitely the turning point in the adventure. If you want to know what I mean, go ahead and purchase this season.

Trust me, when I say I like this set a lot. It's definitely great. It's the re-released version of the original DVD set. While the original release was in digipack form, this release is just a regular DVD case, with 5 discs. They're the same ones from the original, but most likely with redressed disc art and the cover is the same as the original release. The discs, as a result of being the same as the originals, have both the dub & the Japanese audio, with English subtitles, so no one has to worry about that. Having said features, the episodes are also uncut & untouched, minus English credits, but those are forgivable. It's a shame the quality couldn't be a little better, considering when they were released, but it's still good. I wish it came with a slip cover, but it's still a good presentation as is. I'd definitely recommend this to those, who like me, didn't get the original sets & can't afford them now that they're out of print & upped in price. Don't worry, you're getting a good set for a good deal here.
